When my daughter was 10, we began a weekly pilgrimage to a music lesson an hour away from home. Over the years, she read all of the Harry Potter books to me in the car there and back. (and threw in several of the Animorph books along the way.) by then, the movies have started. And she has left the nest. I absorbed all the movies several times over and now I'm completely addicted to the game Harry Potter puzzles and spells on my phone. The universe of Harry Potter has its own life. It's author and her opinions are no longer part of the equation, unfortunate as it is, but it is still disappointing.
I was never a Harry Potter fan (I’m the wrong demographic), but I know the series is beloved by millions. J.K. giveth and she taketh away. I’ll never understand why anyone, especially a woman, would make someone else’s gender identity the hill they’ll die on.
What a brilliant but deluded POS she has become.
NONE of this is going to well for her.
Karma is inescapable.

Your closing line. She wrote it and missed the message. Right on the nose.
