A city that loves a place like Powell’s can’t possibly be a “hellscape”. The first time I visited (probably before some of you were even born), I got on a FREE downtown bus, and went to the world of books. I had never even heard of it before. I almost needed help to get my jaw off the floor. That’s MY Portland. The most civilized city in America. Where every day, you discover some new evidence of people caring for each other. When the smoke clears, go to Powell’s Books and think of me.
Everytime a black suv drove near you or behind you, my heart skipped a beat. And I get it, nothing dangerous there … except masked asshats with no ethics. Thanks for showing us the sights. If I ever come back to the US, I am checking out all the food trucks in Portland and Powells Book store.
Thank you to the lovely woman in Portland telling the truth that there's NO insurrection in Portland. tRump is mischaracterizing (LYING) that there's violence & insurrection in our cities as the president WANTS violence so he can show how POWERFUL He is, by sending in UNNEEDED Troops to QUELL NON-Existent violence tRump is working to instigate. tRump is WASTING our tax dollars And our Military for his own sick EGOtistic wants. Same as the spin about CHOP was here in SEA. Unless you're in that concentrated part of town, it's most a non issue. PDX is great.
