Sorry, but never thought Todd was all that special. . Ever. I'm 68 years old and my taste varies from Heavy Rock and Roll, to Folk, to Celtic, to Some Opera. I like Pop, don't particularly like Rap, although I do like Queen Latifah. I found Adele and Taylor Swift to both be incredibly talented musicians.
His comments are irrelevant simply due to his chromosomes. I am however having a difficult time with defending Swift in the current climate. Is she a success most cannot comprehend, yes. Has she played the game masterfully, yes. Taking back her work, owning all of it and sharing the wealth with those who work for her, yes. Bravo. However, her actions and lack of verbal expression against female social sacrifice cannot be wiped away with lyrical content. The entitlement she has built for herself speaks volumes and her fans are not part of it. They only pay for it.

These are two musicians with Pennsylvania roots. Todd's from my current home, Upper Darby, and Taylor's Christmas tree farm was in Wyomissing.
Although I remember with horror a holiday special where Taylor butchered "Silent Night," I'm rarely appalled by her music.

Females deserve better role models IMO.
