Welcome to The Daily Whatever Show! We’re so glad you’re here.
The Daily Whatever Show is a live weekday morning show about culture, politics, media, creativity, relationships, aging, and whatever else is shaping modern life this week.
Hosted by lifelong BFFs Dana DuBois and Lawrence Winnerman, TDWS blends sharp analysis, smart interviews, irreverent humor, and candid conversation into the kind of morning show that doesn’t pretend everything is fine when it clearly isn’t.
Some days we’re talking politics.
Some days we’re talking pop culture.
Some days we’re interviewing journalists, strategists, artists, authors, organizers, and creative thinkers trying to make sense of the world alongside us.
Always: coffee, conversation, community, and a healthy distrust of fascism.
We podcast live every weekday at 10am ET.
Brazenly liberal. Pro Oxford Comma. Hate Nazis.
About Dana
Dana DuBois is a memoirist, cultural essayist, and GenX word nerd based in the Pacific Northwest. Through cultural memoir and commentary, she explores the larger cultural forces shaping relationships, feminism, parenting, media, modern dating, and life in mid-flight.
About Lawrence
Lawrence Winnerman is a writer, COO at Blue Amp Media, queer sci-fi author, and longtime political and cultural commentator. Equal parts pop culture obsessive and social justice loudmouth, Lawrence believes humor, storytelling, and resistance belong in the same conversation.
Why paid subscriptions matter
The Daily Whatever Show is fully independent and community-supported. Paid subscriptions help us keep the show unscripted, unfiltered, and alive — funding production costs, research, guest booking, platform expenses, and the daily work of showing up every morning to make sense of the world together.
If you value smart conversations, sharp takes, and morning coffee with emotionally literate people, we’d love your support.
We love you — mean it!
