Today’s The Daily Whatever Show was a pre–1st birthday-party edition of Fine Feminist Hour with Dr. Amber Hull, and instead of our usual format, she grabbed the wheel and interviewed me.
We got into it—my month of man-sobriety, midlife dating, the myth of endless options, therapized fuckboys, dating and AI, and what it actually means to still want partnership in a landscape that doesn’t always reward it. It was equal parts feminist theory, sex talk, and very real-life calibration.
Also: dogs, rutabaga, and the reminder that on Substack, we get to be whole humans—not niches.
This was fun one—turns out, I’m super into this kind of role play!
Huge thanks, Dr. Hull—you’re always welcome back on the show.
Thank you Ellie Leonard, Jason Odell, NeuroDivergent Hodgepodge, Amy Gabrielle, Erin O'Brien, and many others for tuning in, and special thanks to our amazing moderators Karen Marie Shelton and Yanni Hamburger, as always.
Love you, mean it!
