The Daily Whatever Show spent the morning talking about summer vacation—not as an ending, but as a deliberate pause.
After fifteen months of broadcasting five days a week, Lawrence and I shared our decision to shift into summer mode, with Effed-up Friday continuing while the rest of the schedule takes a seasonal break. The conversation wasn’t really about taking time off. It was about making room for what’s next.
The most moving part of the conversation centered on tomorrow’s guest, Rosie the Resister, who’s terminally ill and asked to join us for what may be her final public conversation. It was a reminder that community matters, that our time is finite, and that sometimes the most important thing we can do is show up for one another while we can.
